Before launching Newk’s Cares, Mrs. Newcomb devoted her time to volunteer work in the Jackson, Mississippi area as an active member of Junior League of Jackson, as well as Placement Chairman on the Junior League of Jackson board and Co-Chairman of Mistletoe Marketplace Special Events. Additionally, Mrs. Newcomb has served as President of Jackson Preparatory Parent Teacher Association and has been elected chairman of several Jackson-area events such as the Mississippi Society of Disabilities’ “’Tis the Season” and the Mississippi Arthritis Foundation’s “Jammin’ for Joints.” Mrs. Newcomb’s list of volunteer activities extends to the Jackson Symphony League, Diabetes Association, Girl Scouts of America and the Debutante Mothers’ Club of Mississippi.
